What's Brewing: September 2017
While many of you might be lamenting the end of summer, we're over here being those annoying people excited for fall. But not for the sweaters! It's because we have so much good stuff we're bringing your way.
GoJava is doing even more good for the planet (we're really modest)
We've been wondering what to do as a business to give back to the planet in a more substantial way for the last few months because, while zero waste solutions for local homes and offices is at the core of our business, we felt the need to participate in some way in the battle against climate change, which is one of the largest challenges of our time and one that we are all part of. After much ado, we decided that the best way to do that was to plant trees, which is why we are proud to announce that as of September 2017 with EVERY ORDER PLACED through GoJava.ca we will plant one tree through our partnership with WeForest. That's right--not only are you reducing unnecessary waste going to landfill by using our service, but you are also helping to counteract deforestation by planting one tree per order. If you're interested in learning more about how deforestation and climate change are impacting our planet and what you can do to help counteract them (in addition to ordering from us), read our monthly blog on the topic here.
GoJava x H&M
While you're cleaning out your closets to make room for cold weather gear, remember that our textile collection partnership with H&M is running for the entire month of September. If you have unwanted clothes or textiles in any condition, leave them in a bag alongside your used coffee pods and when we pick up your pods, we'll also take your clothes (that sounds racy). Your used items will then be delivered to H&M where they will be recycled and repurposed into new, sustainable fashion. BONUS: You will also get a coupon for each bag of clothing for $5 off your next purchase of $30 or more at any H&M location.
To make it as easy as possible for you to shop our green products we've introduced tags and logos so that it clearly shows whether an item is sustainable (e.g. organic, fair trade, eco-friendly, etc.). We are committed to bringing as many products to you as possible in line with our eco-friendly ethos, which means we've also added more products like Barrie House K-Cups and will continue to provide a growing selection as we move along.
Last but not least
As of July 2017, GoJava has diverted from landfill:
564,681 coffee pods-The equivalent of 45 CN Towers if stacked top to bottom!
32,874 pounds of total waste (approximately 15 tonnes)
If you have any questions about our September update or you know of an office that could use our services, please feel free to get in touch with us at email@example.com
Thank you for your continued support of GoJava and our eco-friendly initiatives!
